Acquisition

The manuscripts were purchased at Sotheby's in 1859.

Summary Catalogue no. 24778, a manuscript in Italian, on paper, stated to be written in the 17th century: 'Magalatti (Lorenzo) "Abjurazione nel Peripateticismo da leggersi nella Academia Filosofica del Serenissimo Principe Leopolda di Toscana, dal Signor Lorenzo Magalotti Segretario di essa." A very curious autograph poem, with the author's corrections.' was not acquired.
