Provenance

The whole volume is annotated in more than one 16th cent. Italian hand: on fol. 8ov are notes of 1562-4 by 'Jo. Fr. Unto da Fuligno' that he entered on office on March 1, 1562, the secondo priore being 'Ludovico figlolo di Seuerino di Carlo', etc., and on March 23 proposed 'Nichola di Bartolomeo Vitellischo' as member of the Council (at Foligno ?), etc.

Summary

Medical treatises made up of three MSS.:

(fol. 1) (in Italian, written in the 14th century) '... Questo libra sie tracto di molti phylosophy, giudei greci & latinj, el quale e tracto duno libro chiamato El Thesoro, e generalmente tinsegnia ogni cura in physica & in cerugihca ...', especially about letting blood; two tables of contents precede: the text beg., after a letter from Hippocrates to the emperor Augustus (!), 'Prima e aquisita et humorj di sangue' (fol. 5). Parts of this MS. are palimpsest, e.g. fols. 56-7, 62-3, seem to contain part of St. Mark's Gospel in Latin (11th cent. ?).

(fol. 64) (in Latin, written in the second half of the 13th century) The Antidotarium parvum of Nicolaiis Praepositus: there is no title given: pref. beg. 'Ego Nicolaus rogatus a quibusdam': text beg. 'Aurea dicta est ab auro. Alexandrina ab Alexandro': a list of lemmata precedes: ends, some leaves being lost in Theriaca, with 'decoctione lilifagi.'.

(fol. 81) (in Latin, written late in the 14th century) Medical and other Recipes: beg. 'Ad corodendos poros & uerucas & malas carnes. Aquam de capitello': fols. 80-81, 106-7, bear 15th century notes.
