Two hands: (a) fol. 1–182v (b) fols. 183–192. Probably Hans and Hans-Johann Pirckheimer. Hans studied in Padua for several years and was in Rome at the beginning of 1455. Cf. A. Reimann, Die älteren Pirckheimer (1944); N. Holzberg, Willibald Pirckheimer: griechischer Humanismus in Deutschland (1981).

Summary

The Comedies of Terence, in the Calliopian recension, and chiefly written as prose, with arguments and some notes: preceded by a six-line epigram on Terence (beg. 'Natus in excelsis') and a Latin Life (beg. 'Terentius genere extitit Afer'), and followed by another (added) Latin Life (fol. 183: beg. 'De Terentii Vita in antiquis libris').

On fol. 182v is the colophon 'Explicit Terentius per Johannem Pircheimer anno Domini M cccc liiij Pasee': and some added Terentian commonplaces at fol. 187 are signed 'Expliciunt Excerpta Terentij Johannis Pircheimer Junioris.'.
