MSS. Firth b. 1/1-2: Formerly owned by Francis Gwyn of Ford Abbey, under secretary of state 1681-3 and 1688-9. No. 245/3 in the Ford Abbey sale, 1846, when purchased by sir Thomas Phillipps. The volumes were nos. 12136-8 in the Phillipps library and lot 1246 in the Phillipps sale, April 1903
MS. Firth c. 1: Owned in 1788 by Joseph Warton
MS. Firth 4: Numbered A. 8 in the library of Mr. John Gurdon Rebow of Wyvenhoe Park, Essex (d. 1870), whose bookplate it contains. Bought by prof. C. H. Firth from Bertram Dobell
MS. Firth c. 5: Art. 410 in the Monck Mason Sale cat., 1858. Bought at that sale by sir Thos. Phillipps, and numbered 17059 in the Phillipps library. Sold at the Phillipps sale, June 1893 (lot 335)
