Stamped leather, back modern, with metal fittings for clasps, contemporary Italian work.

'Iunii Iuuenalis Aquinatis poetae Satyrarum liber primus [etc.] incipit', the 16 satires. The border bears a badge or coat of arms, azure, a hound rampant argent collared gules: there is a later faint coat of arms with the motto 'Libertas.'.
