Summary
'Ambassade de M. de la Boderie en Angleterre': the diplomatic correspondence of Antoine Lefebvre, sieur de la Boderie, French ambassador at the court of Great Britain, April 1606-January 1610/1: apparently, like Brit. Mus. Add. MSS. 30642-4, copied from the contemporary transcripts in the Bibliothèque Nationale (Paris), MSS. nouv. acquis. 7013-5 (formerly Fonds Brienne 42-4).
Almost the whole of the correspondence was published, from the Fonds Brienne or from this or another transcript, in 1750, under the title of Ambassades de Monsieur de la Boderie en Angleterre sous le règne d'Henri IV et la minorité de Louis XIII (5 vols. 8vo). Each volume is preceded by a key to the cyphers employed.
Replies to the above dispatches, printed at Amsterdam in 1733 under the title of Lettres d'Henry IV, roi de France, et de messieurs de Villeroy et de Puisieux, à Mr. Antoine le Fevre de la Boderie, ambassadeur de France en Angleterre (2 vols.), as well as in 1750.
