(fols. 1r–95v) Suetonius De uita Caesarum
(fol. ii verso) Pasted to fol. ii verso is a rectangle of paper (180 × 82 mm.) containing a late-fifteenth-century (?) note on the Julian reform of the calendar (cf. Suetonius, Diuus Iulius, 40); possibly by one of the hands which annotates the main volume.

Paper. Fol. ii, c. 38 mm. between chainlines, folded in quarto, no watermark. Fols. 1–95, folded in folio, 33 mm. between chainlines. Watermark (often indistinct), column with crown, with capital, c. 65 c. 25 , the chainline running through the centre of the motif, no exact match found, but similar in design to WZIS IT6780-PO-100187 (Parma, 1467).

Physical extent

ii (unfoliated, modern paper) + i (modern paper) + 1 + 95 + iii (modern paper) fols., foliated i-ii, 1–98.

Hands

One scribe, writing a current cursive humanistic script.

Decoration

Spaces left for initials not filled in.

Running heads added in a later hand.

Binding

Modern; nineteenth-century (?).

Acquisition

Bequeathed by him to the Library.

Provenance

Medieval provenance unknown.
