On fol. 2v the text opens with a handsome initial I running the full length of the page, in ‘Channel style’ with curling tendrils in pink, blue and green on gold, all on a blue and buff ground edged with green; a mask at the top, and a roundel in the middle occupied by four running hares. The punctuation suggests origin in an English Cistercian house.
