Sketches of Hastings in pencil, touched with watercolour, given to 'Lilli Mendelssohn Bartholdy [F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy's younger daughter]. Recollections of a happy week at Hastings. December. 1866'. A note in Miss Margaret Deneke's hand reads 'Probably by S. Horsley'.
