Comprises:
(fol. 1) 'Diologus inter patrem & filium', otherwise known as Consolation offered by an old man: beg. 'M[usyn]g vpon the restles bisynesse.' This is of the nature of a prologue to the next article
(fol. 36) 'De principum regimine', based largely on Aegidius de Columnar's work with that title: with prologue and (at end) 'Verba compilatoris ad librum', all in English verse.
A tracing of a miniature of Occleve presenting his book, from Brit. Mus. MS. Royal 17 D. vi, is at fol. iiiv. Fol. 1 is mutilated.
