Decoration
4-line puzzle initial and one-sided penwork border in blue and red, fol. 1r; elsewhere 2-line blue initials with red penwork.
Binding
Quarter-binding of parchment and paper-covered pasteboards, over an earlier leather spine with five supports. Four rust marks at the foot of fol. 119 probably the marks of a chain staple.
Acquisition
Given by him to the Bodleian in 1601 (inscription, fol. 1r; Watson, 'Thomas Allen', 295).
Provenance
Annotations in a number of 14th-16th century hands. Top of fol. 1 (with an earlier ex libris?) cut away.
