Summary

Made up of four MSS., comprising:

(fol. 1) (15th cent.) Two leaves of the romance of Pontus of Gallicia, in English prose: begg. 'Bretayn. As the moste sufficient', 'The tyme that he couth fynd hym.'

(fol. 3) (late 15th cent.) A short chronicle of England from the Creation to A.D. 1461, in Latin, perhaps incomplete at end: beg. 'In principio creauit Deus': the ' Responsum Diane' to Brutus is in verse

(fol. 7) (about A.D. 1755-60) 'Extract of a letter from Mr. Jamineau consul at Naples to sir F. H. E. Styles, dated 7th Decr. 1754', about Vesuvius

(fol. 11) (late 18th cent.) Alphabetical lists of surnames (chiefly English) derived from places, employments, or qualities: by Douce.
