Acquisition
Part of his third donation to the Bodleian, 1639.
Provenance
R. W. Hunt attributed the initials to the same hand as MS. Laud Lat. 101, from St Kilian, Würzburg; the attribution of the present manuscript to Würzburg was not discussed by Mairhofer.
Mainz, Carthusian abbey of St Michael: identifiable as the second item in cat. 1 (Mainz SB Hs I 577) K XII P ('Libellus dictus pastoris allegatur in omelia Origenis octaua super libro numeri' cf, fol. 2r) = cat. 2 (Mainz SB Hs I 576) K XI S ('Liber dictus: Nuncius penitencie: pastoris'). The first item in the volume K XII P/K XI S (identifiable by second folio) is now MS. Laud Misc. 474; the titles on MS. Laud Misc. 474, fol. i verso, and MS. Laud Misc. 488 fol. 2r are probably by the same hand; and the hand of MS. Laud Misc. 488 fol. 90v is probably found on MS. Laud Misc. 474 fols. 82r, 83v, 84v. Not listed in Mairhofer, Mainz manuscripts.
