Comprises correspondence and papers relating to an official visit to South Africa made by John Guthrie, Head of International Office, Sir Richard Luce and Ian Taylor, MP, from 16-20 December 1993. The trip was funded by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy and the objective was for the Conservative Party to establish links with a political party in South Africa. Papers include reports, itineraries, project proposals, briefings, and correspondence with South African politicans and institutions, including the Inkatha Freedom Party and the African National Congress.
