Summary
One has the date of Sep 1666. One of the sermons is described at p. 501 as having been preached at the funeral of Thos. Cholmondeley, esq., of Holford, Cheshire, who died 6 Jan 1668, and was buried 16 Jan at Peeter (i.e. Nether Peover). In Ormerod's Cheshire, vol. i. p. 496, it is said that his funeral sermon was preached by his chaplain, Mr. Kent.
Another notice of date is: 1688, p. 521.
On the last leaf of vol. i. there appears to be an extract from a sermon on the death of Mr. Cholmondeley by Thos. Tannant.
