Fine border. Fol. 1r: full border. Interlace, floral designs, gold disks, a medallion with a coat of arms in the lower margin (vert a lion natural tongued gules and holding a sword argent with overall a bar gules).

15th century, third quarter, Italian (as MS.): wood boards; brown leather, blind-tooled with multiple lines and strapwork framing a round centrepiece on each cover, triple cross-hatching on spine; remains of four clasps with straps of red textile (lost) and flat trefoil-shaped brass catch-plates; gilt gauffered edges with early title in ink on fore-edge. 223–224 180 c. 43–44 (book closed).
