Summary
Remarks upon the election for London, the proceedings of the Spaniards with reference to the Newfoundland fishery, and the election of mayor etc. at Dublin. Hopes the 'Englishman' [i.e. Sir R. Steele], who writes so heroically, will do good. Is trying to augment a poor living in the neighbourhood, and to establish two parochial libraries in the county for the clergy, but it would be much easier to get money for horseraces, to which they are more used than books.
