Glusker was a student of Hodgkin's at Oxford working for her D.Phil. degree on a degradation product of vitamin B12. She then did postdoctoral research at the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, subsequently making her career at the Institute for Cancer Research, Fox Chase, Philadelphia.
