Summary
File 1, fols. 1-196 and item 1: List of people to whom sections of The Dual Mandate revision were sent for criticism, with the subsequent correspondence arranged in order of the chapters to which the letters refer, 1930-1944. This correspondence contains not only the opinions of those consulted but also additional information to assist Lugard in his rewriting. Some letters bear pencilled numbers referring to specific pages in the first edition of the book.
