Acquisition

Given to the Bodleian as part of his third donation, dispatched on 28 June 1639.

Provenance

Mainz, Carthusian abbey of St Michael : identifiable by second folio as the first part of K XII P in cat. i (Mainz, StB I 577, fol. 257r ‘Sermones de tempore et sanctis', 2o fo ‘sensus hominum ut intelligerunt’) and the first part of K XI S a in cat. ii (Mainz, StB, Hs. I 576, fol. 155r, 2o fo ‘sensus hominum’). (The second part of K XII P / K XI S is now MS. Laud Misc. 488.)
