Folder 1: Cover of red notebook labelled 'Half Term or The Umbrella' containing loose manuscript drafts:
Four chapters of a story about Gaye and her brother, no title, (15 pages; 20 pages; 15 pages; 13 pages)
Three chapters of a story about Gaye, possibly a continuation of the same novel as above but these chapters have a note attached reading 'Cambridge Story 2 versions (Mr Bateson & Miss Saunders) Religion v. Science 1911 (approx)', (13 pages; 17 pages; 13 pages) with four pages of a pencil draft
'Half-Term or The Umbrella', seven pages (incomplete)
Folder 2: Cover of a maroon notebook with note attached - 'Parson Sharpe [of] Netherhampton' - containing material for a projected novel relating to Netherhampton and the Grove family which Celia seems to have started working on in the 1920s. With some notes in other hands:
Small red notebook containing at one end notes on the 18th century and at the other end a list of the costs of a wedding (presumably Celia's own), 1920s
Letter from 'R.S.T.' suggesting books on the Regency/Victorian period
