Summary

Made up of two MSS., comprises:

(fol. 2) 'Incipit Compotus magistri Iohannis de Sacro Bosco...': beg. 'Compotus est scientia considerans tempora', with figures

(fol. 29) A short chronicle of England from the Creation to A.D. 1407: beg. 'In principio creauit Deus.' This properly reaches to A.D. 1388, but is supplemented by a short chronicle 'secundum tabulam Sancti Pauli [Londoniensis]', 1040 - 1407.

There are several additions, in Latin, among which are:--(a) (fol. 1). Notes of events, 1412-15: (b) (fol. 1v). Dimensions of St. Paul's cathedral in London: (c) (fol. 26). Astrological and calendarial tables, the latter by 'Gerlandus', i.e. Johannes de Garlandia, with figures: (d) (fol. 33v). A treatise on the simpler processes of arithmetic: beg. 'Omnia que a primeua rerum origine.'.

'Liber dompni Thome Dune monachi Dunelmensis ex dono dompni Johannis Manby' (15th cent.: cf. fol. 36v): on fol. iv is a note by 'T[homas] M[artin]' of Palgrave. Donce bought the book at the MacCarthy sale in 1789.
