Bequeathed by him to the Bodleian.
Provenance
Probably from the parish church of St John, Strensham. In the calendar (13 July) Obitus Roberti Russell‘ [of Strensham, Worcs. ?] anno mº ccccº xxxº iijº (contemporary (?) addition); 10 Dec.: Dedicatio ecclesie de Duryst [probably Deerhurst in Gloucestershire, near Strensham] (15th cent. addition).
On fols. 256v and 260 members of the Carsy (?) family of Orleton (Worcestershire) are mentioned (16th cent.). Fol. 260v: a note about Giles Reed, born at the Wynieard (of Pershore ?), 29 January 1573/4 and baptized at Tewkesbury.
