Summary
Letters from Flora to her sister, Louise ("Lulu"). The letters were written during Flora's trip to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and across the Pacific to Hawaii and San Francisco, finally ending with a train journey across Canada and a boat back from Boston. She describes local people, industrialisation (and the need for it), politics in Britain and various articles. Flora also discusses family news including their father's illness and their brother Bobbie's plans to visit Flora in Cape Town.
