Legal treatises and papers, the chief of which are:
(fol. 5) 'Gervasij Tilburiensis De necessariis Scaccarij observantijs dialogus', the Dialogue de Scaccario written by Richard Fitz-Nigel, bp. of London (A.D. 1647), with a few additions and indexes at end. The date 1647 is on fols. 4, 61v.
(fol. 81) Reports of some law cases in the time of James i and Charles i (first half of 17th century), in different hands, in French and English.
(fol. 177) A treatise on the rights of ecclesiastical persons in England, chiefly as relating to benefices, with index, but no title (about A.D. 1640). The first chapter (out of twenty-seven) beg. 'Of Archbishopps and Bishops ... An Archbishopp is a spiritual person.'
(fol. 277) 'A Lecture of Forrests, by C. P.', in ten chapters with a 'Proheme' (late 16th century). Chap. 1 beg. 'Of the dignitie of the king and his nobles. To deale in degrees.'
(fol. 332) Four Lecturae 'Magistri Rogeri Manwood, Interioris Templi socij, super statutum de 21 H. 8, cap. 3 [on abridgement of Plaints in Assize], tempore Quadragesimali, A° 1565', in French (about A.D. 1570).
On a paper label on the back is 'Manusc: Jurid: Vol. ii' (17th century).
