Summary
Written and printed for a member of the family of Scepeaux (arms on fols. 1v, 2r), whose name probably began with Ne, and whose portrait appears to be on fols. 26, 32, 42. The volume consists of prayers, in Latin and French, the hymns 'Ecce ad te confugio' and 'Stabat Mater' (fols. 12v, 29), suffrages (fols. 15v, 44v), and the Verses of st. Bernard (fol. 38v). Some types of female beauty, chiefly Italian, are introduced among the miniatures.
