(fols. 4-5) Lea Mendelssohn Bartholdy to [Maurice] Schlesinger, 29 [Apr 1823]; sent with proofs of F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy's op. 1. Wach collection.

(fols. 7-22) 8 letters from Fanny Hensel and Rebecka Dirichlet to members of the Woringen family, 1844-1847. Fanny's letters are to Angelica von Woringen. Wach collection.

(fol. 24) Johannes Brahms to Basil Harwood as Secretary of the Oxford University Musical Club. Post-mark Wien, 9 May 1895. Formerly kept in a frame at Gunfield.

(fol. 27-71) 18 undated letters and notes from Jenny Lind-Goldschmidt to Marie Benecke [ca. 1856-1883]. Fol. 51 is an envelope on which Mrs Benecke planned the seats for a dinner party which included Jenny Lind and Clara Schumann. Given by Miss D.M. Oliver of Eastbourne, 1976.

(fol. 72-89) 4 letters to Marie Benecke and 3 to Victor Benecke from Joseph Joachim, Jan 1895[6?]-Oct 1899. Fol. 83 is the permission of the Ministerium der geistlichen Unterrichts-und Medicinal-Angelegenheiten, dated 1897, for publication of organ pieces by F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Given with 5.
