Fols. 1, 123. notes from episcopal registers as specified in Hunter's Three Catalogues, artt. 1, 12, and (fol. 71) from the magnum registrum album in the posession of the dean and chapter of York, including royal charters from the 11th cent.
Fols. 89, 160v, 162, 164, 168. copies of private charters including (fol. 89) agreements of Vavasor of Haselwood, with St. Peter's, York, and with the Franciscans
Fols. 164, 171v. notes of the family of Cornborough 'out of my cosen Bosevile's old deeds, 34 penes sir Robert Cotton, Oct. 1618'
Followed by 13th-cent. Osgodby deeds copied by Dodsworth, with sketches of seals (fol. 168)
At fols. 100v, 109 are a few miscellaneous notes from MSS. in the Cottonian library (fol. 116v), a list by Dodsworth of the treasurers of St. Peter's, York (fol. 132), 'Out of a table in the revestry of the cathedral church of York', set up after 1319, relating to miracles at the tomb of archbishop William since 1177
There are also notes from deeds in St. Mary's Tower, York, concerning inter alia the gild of St. Anthony, York, from a rental of gilds and chantries (fol. 105)
There is an index nominum (fols. v-xi) by Roger Dodsworth. Fols. 89-90, 109, 132-42, 164-7v, 179-84v are not by Dodsworth.
MS. Dodsworth 126, 1615, 155 leaves: Collections by Dodsworth from St. Loo Kniveton's volumes marked 'E' (fol. 1), 'F' (fol. 41), and 'AT' (fol. 109), at that time in the possession of Richard Gascoigne, containing extracts from chartularies, private archives, and public records. These include:
