Paper, folded in folio. Watermarks: tower (not in Piccard, parallels from c. 1452–1474 in WZIS); tower, type Piccard ii.333–377 (1452–72); dreiberg with seven-petalled flower, cf. Piccard iii.1081–3, 1096–1117 (1456–68); dreiburg with cross, type Piccard vii.2203–2234 (mostly 1451–63, also 1477, 1500); bull's head with cross and seven-petalled flower, type Piccard xi.311–353.

Physical extent

i (modern) + 359 + i (modern) leaves, the modern endleaves not foliated.

Hands

Cursive with hybrida forms.

Three hands (?): (A) fols. 1ra-95vb (and 138ra?); (B) fols. 96ra-233vb (except 138ra); (C) fols. 234ra-358va.

Decoration

One 5-line red initial, fol. 1ra.

Otherwise no decoration; spaces left for initials, unfilled; no rubrication. Scribe B, occasional decorative flourishes on the descender of g and elsewhere.

Binding

Contemporary binding of half brown plain leather over boards, repaired; boards a modern replacement.

Acquisition

Presented to the Bodleian Library by his sons and received in 1857.
