Acquisition

Donated to the Bodleian, 1634.

Provenance

Fols. 1-8: Oxford, Oxfordshire, Franciscan convent: 'Quaternus fratris Thome Ruuel (?) per fratrem Rogerum de Notingham sacre theologie doctorem [ . . . . . . . . .]', at foot of fol. 1r. 'Liber quid Martialis' over the erasure. For Roger de Notingham see BRUO 1377: he was at the Oxford convent in 1343, still in 1358. (MLGB3: evidence from an inscription of ownership by an individual member of a religious house (which may not, however, be evidence for institutional ownership)).

Kenelm Digby, 1603–1665
