Summary
Preached, at the beginning of the sixteenth century, on a feast-day on which people observed the custom, "nott to be reprouyde gretly," of coming to church "apparelyd solemply ...... in ther best arey and apparell;" a custom which the preacher employs as the ground for an earnest exhortation to the putting on the new garments of godliness.
Ends imperfectly; probably one leaf is wanting.
The old leather binding is stamped on one side with the Tudor rose, supported by angels, with crosses as on the binding of the preceding MS.; and on the other side with the arms of Henry VII, supported by angels.
