Papers relating to economic policy, including notebook containing notes on profits, notes and articles regarding international economic organisations, note on dividends, Fabian International Bureau and Trades Union Congress papers regarding post-war reconstruction, note by Nicholas Kaldor on the economics of income tax, and note regarding the relations of government and industry. c. 1943-c. 1951

Fabian essays, mostly from Buscot Park Conferences, including essays by R.F. Kahn, Douglas Jay, Thomas Balogh, W. Arthur Lewis and Nicholas Kaldor. Also includes draft chapter on the economic future of the United Kingdom and note on the consequences of the one percent bank rate. 1952-1954

Papers from Jay's time as President of the Board of Trade, including transcript of a speech made by Jay at the opening of the James A. Jobling factory in Sunderland, briefings, notes and correspondence, public relations document on the opening of the Armstrong Cork Company factory in Gateshead, and papers relating to a visit by Jay to the northern region. 1963-1967

Notes on regional policy, election flyers, briefing note on Conservative Party policies, press cuttings regarding 1969 constituency boundary changes and the European Economic Community, and copy of a letter from John Coleman regarding the European Economic Community. 1969-1987
