The objects of the expedition were studies of ecology and conservation, ornithology and bird photography. It was led by Guy Mountfort; Nicholson was Deputy Leader and Ecologist; other members of the party were Sir Julian Huxley and Eric Hosking.

Manuscript 'Draft Report on Findings of the Jordan Expedition 1963' and manuscript rough notes. The report relates to the ecological and conservation aspects of the expedition. Its pagination is considerably disordered.
