Summary
Two treatises:
that the common law favours the church, its liberty and dignity;
that it most commonly conforms to the divine law, never contradicts it.
The first treatise begins, "The common lawes of England in their originall institution."
The second treatise begins, "As the best divines will not deny but there is left by the law of God to humane and positive lawes."
