Fols. 1-99: Correspondence and records of meetings between the British West Charterland Company and the Colonial Office, 15 Aug 1894-14 Jan 1899, concerning their concession and operations in Bechuanaland Protectorate, including memoranda on the Colonial Office proposals to impose limitations on mining rights in their mineral concession.
Fols. 100-131: Correspondence between Edward Lugard, his brother, the Company and Dr Passarge concerning the doctor's ill-treatment of indigenous people, his falling foul of Europeans and his resignation from the Company, 1897-1898.
Fols. 132-136: Report by Dr Passarge on his journeys in South Africa, 1898.
