Summary
Cannot recommend a Frenchman for election at any time as demy in Magdalene College, Oxford, and this year also is engaged to recommend one Dingley, grand-nephew to his dear friend Dr. Hammond; is not concerned in what Maimbourg relates of the conversion of the duchess of York to the Ch. of Rome: and objects to the publication of a letter from him to her, until after his death, which, considering his very old age and some very painful infirmities, will in all probability take place very soon; is preparing for press his answer to Mr. Baxter's Calumnies.
