Śaradā in black ink. Scribe: Rājānalasaka Rājānalasaka, who gives his name in the colophons of no. 3, 7, 9, and 11. With the exception of no. 2, and probably no. 14, the other Nāṭakas are clearly written by the same hand.

Binding

Contemporary soft leather binding in stamped red leather, with a Persian-style flap and a textileribbon. Unidentified Persian additions in black ink on the front board. Bodleian Library shelfmark and description tooled in gold on the spine. Cardboard cover box.

Repairs in darker red leather. In unstable condition.

Acquisition

Bought in 1887 from Eugen Hultzsch.

Provenance

Former owner's shelfmark: Nos. 9, 102, 108, 105, 94, 101, 109, 98, 107, 106, 91, 110, 97, 103 written in red ink on the original wrapper, now inset on f. 1r. Memorandum Śrīnagar, K. No.1–14. written in pencil on the original wrapper, now inset on f. 1r.
