'Spiegelbuch' 1983; Women of the Year lecture (see also MS. Eng. c. 5655/2 in the main Hodgkin papers; Ferry p.390) 1983; 'Memories of Lawrence Bragg' (see also MS. Eng. c. 5657/20 in the main Hodgkin papers) 1990; 'Tribute to Paul Ewald' (see also MS. Eng. c. 5703/4 in the main Hodgkin papers) 1991. The Women of the Year lecture was the occasion on which Hodgkin, invited to speak on 'A woman's best friend', delivered a fervent tribute to Thomas. The lecture greatly moved its hearers and the occasion made £23,000 for the blind. The speech was broadcast on BBC Radio 'Woman's Hour'.
