Comprises:
Folder 1: A bundle of private and miscellaneous papers, most addressed to 'The Earl of Clarendon'. These include both personal correspondence and notes regarding various Irish affairs. A copy of a letter from Mr. Hyde Villiers to Lord Howick (originally sent 19 Jan 1832) and a letter addressed to G. Hyde Villiers sent in 1829 are some of the earliest items in the bundle. Another early item includes a small group of letters, wrapped together with the label 'Old Mill,' which were written in the early 1830s (esp. c. 1832) by J. Mill and regard setting up meetings for the exchange of information, c. 1821, 1828-1829, 1831, c. 1832, 1850-1852
Folder 2: A bundle of miscellaneous papers relating to Irish affairs. An original list accompanies the bundle. The bundle includes: (a) a copy of a bill 'to provide for the promotion and encouragement of emigration from Ireland' (b) a copy of the Irish Farmer's Gazette, sent by the Royal Agricultural Improvement Society of Ireland (31 Mar 1849) (c) letter of the Lord Justices from 20 Nov 1848 (d) Belfast school design
