Peierls organised and prepared this report, which was sponsored by the Royal Society's British National Committee for Mathematics with the assistance of the Institute of Physics and the Physical Society. The file includes correspondence regarding the preparation of a questionnaire, drafting of the report, amendments suggested by committee members, publication of the report, copy of the questionnaire, a list of people who received the questionnaire, and a copy of the report.
