Provenance

On fol. iv is a Latin note of some customary payments, among which are 4 marks to the 'Abbas de Kircall' [ Kirkstall, West Yorkshire], and half a mark to the 'Domina de Tonge' [Tong, West Yorkshire]; written in an early 14th century Scottish (?) hand.

'Liber domini Iohannis de Selestona: delegatus Roberto de Caluerley clerico', late 14th century:

' John Scharp. Caucio magistri Petri Pekering & Roberti Bordexposita in cista de Langton [Oxonie] pro xvs..... anno Domini Millesimo CCCC mo tercio'.

Other entries show that it was in the 'cista de Neel' for 13s 4d or xxs in 1412 (magister Corff), 1416 (magister J. Corfe), and 1418 (with a 'supplementum', secundo folio neat, magister J. Corfe: but 'supplementum dimissum C. Corfe pro vs')

Owned by Henry VIII. See MS. Bodl. 218
