Fol. 3. 'Here begynnith the boke of Astronomy & of philosphye, contryved & ymade of the wyse philosofers & astronomyers ... off the land of Grese ... an Englyschman ... compiled this boke owte of Gryse in to Englysch graciously': beg. 'Fyrst the boke tellyth': at end 'Here endyth the boke of Ypocras [Hippocrates] of Lyfe on Deth ...':

Imperfect through loss of two gatherings after fol. 18

At fol. 21v, as at fols. 28v, 34v, 37, 82v, 103, 112av, 113v, 130v, are medical recipes in English

The name of one recipe-maker 'Radulphus Holond' is on fol. 25

At fol. 25 is an English verse treatise on blood-letting, which beg. 'Maistres ye that vsen blode lettynge'

Fol. 27. A treatise on impostumes or abscesses (beg. 'It ys to wete at beginnynge'), preceded by some astrological notes.

Fol. 37. A large number of medicinal recipes, in English.

Fol. 84. 'Sinonoma secundum alphabetum probata', a Latin-English vocabulary of herbs: preceded by some recipes supposed to .have been given by Christ to 'tres boni fratres' journeying to mount Olivet: the vocabulary beg. 'Arthemesia mater herbarum ... anglice mugworte'. The name 'de | nyle', = de Nele (?), seems to indicate a scribe's name, on fol. 98. At fol. 98v begin some 'carmina' or magic formulae, at fol. 104 notes on kinds of water, etc., cp. fol. 22v.

Fol. 107. Short treatises on urines: beg. 'Now after the coloure'. The scribe of part D may be Eld (foll. 106 v, 112a).

Fol. 116. A treatise on the virtue of herbs: imperfect and bound in confused order: beg. 'Here a man maye see'.
