Beg: 'Sepr. 15 at sea [1782]' (fol.iv), ending 'The eagles envy our nest', ('the eagles envy us our nest' in the English edition of 1786, p. 91). The front wrapper is inscribed by Lettice 'Vatek/ No. 1', followed by a note 'To the transcriber' about the spelling of 'Vatek' and 'Caratis'; discussed by Parreaux, op. cit., pp. 232-3
