Respecting the question justly called "nice" by Compton, "I cannot, neither dare I, assert that I am clear to com entirely into the interest which yr lp. writs of," and this is also the answer of Archbp. Ross; neither of them has written to the Bp. of Salisbury for many years, [see fo1. 49 in this volume.]
Part of the letter, with the signature, has been torn off.
