Bequeathed to the Bodleian in 1755

Provenance

Lichfield, Staffordshire, Cathedral church of St Mary the Virgin and St Chad: Rawlinson A.389 belonged to two prebendaries of Lichfield in s. xv ex. At end: 'Liber magistri Thome Rynold' and 'Liber Magistri Iohannis Redhill'; both were prebendaries of Lichfield in s. xv 2 . No. 73 in Patrick Young's catatlogue of the Lichfield cathedral manuscripts, 1622–3. The flyleaf, fol. iii, is from a 13th-cent. MS of Isidore of Seville's Etymologiae. Mark of chain (?) shows at foot of fols. iii recto and i recto. (MLGB3: evidence from an inscription of ownership by an individual member of a religious house (which may not, however, be evidence for institutional ownership)).
