Summary
Landau, Lev Davydovich (in German, Russian and English)
Landau was in Zürich for a short time in the autumn of 1929, and again in the winter of 1930-1931. On each occasion Landau and Peierls wrote a joint paper. There is correspondence about the first of these. Some later casual correspondence concerns in part possible visits, points arising from a conference in Moscow in 1956, about translation of books, and a proposed honorary degree for Landau in Birmingham. The 1968 correspondence is about Landau's death and the obituary notices in journals.
