Summary
Lacks the beginning of letter XXIV (draft in MS. Beckford c. 44, fols. 11-12) and the whole of letter XXV, in wrappers numbered by Beckford 1-23, with (fol. 95v) draft of the prefatory note to vol. 2 of Italy, 31 Oct. 1833. There are some dated watermarks, 1806-13, and (fol. 112) 1832; notes of the dates, 1818-33, on which Beckford read chapters to friends (usually named) are on many of the wrappers. Versions of letters I-VI, written from Falmouth, are in MS. Beckford c. 15, fols. 1-36.
