Letters to various members of the Sterndale Bennett family. Also present is a testimonial of Louis Spohr with an accompanying letter and letters of condolence on the death of Sir William Sterndale Bennett from the Royal Society of Musicians and the Royal Academy of Music. The latter is signed by (among others) Charles Steggall, Manuel García and Walter Macfarren. There is a typewritten index pasted at the front of the volume.
