Folder 2: Letters to Margaret Newbolt (née Duckworth). Items 10-22 are in a paper wrapper annotated by Celia Furse, however not all the items listed are present in the archive:

The State and the Arts, the Romanes Lecture delivered by Lord (Edward) Bridges, 3 Jun 1958, with a covering letter from Bridges to Margaret Newbolt and a further letter from Ralph Furse to Margaret about the lecture

An accompanying note says Margaret was very deaf so people wrote replies to her questions and afterwards she copied out the ones she wanted to keep, hence the notebook
