Summary
Sermons, and materials for sermons, written by H. Prichard at Newington Butts in 1700–1701, and while curate of Clapham under Dr. Nicholas Brady in 1705–1707.
Amongst the contents of the volume are:
(pp. 33–334) A series of ten sermons on the Divine attributes;
(p. 392) Abstract of a sermon on S. John xix. 5. by bishop Will. Nicholson;
(pp. 406, 430) Prayer and sermon (at Newhaven and Meeching, Sussex) by — Bresteed.
On six fly-leaves at the beginning are tables of the principal heads handled in the volume and texts of Scripture illustrated, together with a list of texts preached on at Clapham by Dr. Brady and H. Prichard in 1705–1707, and notes of books useful to be read for the composition of sermons.
At p. 454 mention is made of a funeral sermon in another book, written "for my loveing and dear Christian friend Mrs. Finch," 29 Dec 1700, of which there appears to be a portion at pp. 372–374.
